Dalamu Sherpa is a dedicated emerging HR Professional, HR Leader, and HR Mentor passionate about cultivating positive work environments where individuals can truly thrive. With a people-centric approach at the core of their philosophy, they are committed to making a meaningful impact in human resources.

Originally from Nepal, Dalamu takes great pride in being a first-generation college graduate, earning a Master of Science in Management Degree from Fordham University Gabelli School of Business. Their academic journey has fostered a deep interest in positive leadership, operational management, and the strategic attraction of top talent to foster their growth and development.

Over the past 2.5+ years, Dalamu has honed their HR expertise as an HR Director at I'RAISE Girls & Boys International, a non-profit agency based in New York City. In this role, they have played a pivotal part in recruiting top-tier professionals who deliver crucial mental health and educational services in partnership with the Department of Education (DOE) at schools across NYC, positively impacting the lives of over 500 youth. Additionally, they have fostered partnerships with NYC universities and colleges, providing over 200 professional development opportunities to students through internship and volunteer programs. Moreover, they have supervised, trained, and mentored over 10 college students in Human Resources, with 70% securing entry-level HR careers.

Certified in HR Generalist and Recruitment and Talent Acquisition, they are currently working towards obtaining their SHRM-CP certification to further solidify their expertise in the field.

Beyond their professional endeavors, they are deeply committed to serving the community. As an e-board member of the Network of Sherpa Students and Professionals (NSSPUSA), where they have served as Vice President Executive Board Member for almost 2 years, they have helped organize various events aimed at empowering Sherpa youth, including career panels, cultural workshops, and college preparation activities.

In their spare time, Dalamu volunteers with NSSPUSA and its parent organization, United Sherpa Associations (NYC), as well as with other non-profit organizations. As an Ice Skating Coach Volunteer with Born to Rise, they have had the privilege of making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals for over 3 years, leveraging their 7 years of ice skating experience. Additionally, their experience as a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) in Thailand has further enriched their dedication to community service.

Dalamu Sherpa's journey as an HR professional, leader, and mentor is ongoing, and they are committed to continual growth and learning in order to make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals and communities alike.
